Startup Engineering company Campaign
After completing my bursary payback obligation I wanted to start my dream of starting an engineering company. My company would then allow me to give back the community I come from. I wanted my company to supply the basics of clean water, affordable and legal electricity, jobs( plus skills and counseling) for young girls who turn to sugar daddies to make a living, jobs(plus skills and counseling) to young men who turn to crime because of a lack of skills, supply bursaries to the youth that cannot afford University fees. I often wondered myself what would have become of my dream to be an engineer if I had not gotten a bursary. I spent 3 years doing odd jobs trying to raise funds for my tuition. My experience fuelled my desire to start a company that would provide bursaries ,jobs and opportunities for people of all races that come from a disadvantaged past. My company mandate would also be to raise enough funds to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, to bring awareness in places outside of South Africa where albinos are hunted and mutilated for their body parts because they are believed to bring riches via witchcraft rituals, to open safehouses for children and women who have been abused, to create safehouses for young men who have been abused and sidelined by community too.So soon after my bursary obligation ended I took the funds I had saved in those three years of employment and I tried to start a buy and selling car business. The sole reason of starting this business was to help me multiply and grow capital to inject in my engineering company dream. Unfortunately because I was inexperienced in business, in the industry and I hadn't been wise enough to seek mentorship I lost my little capital and was left with nothing to pursue my engineering company dream. The reason I have approached this crowdfunding platform is because I have tried many options to get funding without success. I applied to various organisations for funding but most of them don't offer funding for a company that is not operational. My civil engineering company is registered with cipc but not operational. Why? Because to startup the business I need capital. I need capital to pay experienced professionals eg Engineers, quantity surveyors, I need mentorship which will need funding, I need company equipment and an office space, a company car (so I can be Mobile and easily meet potential clients and investors I need to do marketing and advertising, I need to set up a website and business cards. All that requires money that I don't have.
When the funds I had initially saved after 3 years of working were lost I started applying for civil engineering jobs locally and internationally. The main purpose to do this was so that I raise money again to grow my business successfully and with mentors that will guide me from making wrong business decisions which I had made in my initial entrepreneurship journey. After 2 years of job hunting I haven't been successful. I am sourcing funding for my engineering company. If possible I would appreciate the cherry on top and get mentors that are willing to help me in my journey. I am willing to turn every stone until my engineering company becomes a success because it succeeding means a better live not Inly will I improve the community of South Africa but Africa too and the world at large. Consider helping make my dream a success and donate. It is important for me to see these funds being raised because I was created to make this dream come true. Yet dreams need money so I reasoned ,if my dream is to make the south African community an the world at large a better place then I should appeal to that same community to help me realise this dream.
