Hi, I'm Dinkie. I'm 32 years of age, and this is my story ... 

I was in a car accident in 2019 the 17th of April where my life changed ... 

My self, my daughter and my grandma were in the car accident along with my ex partner. My son was with his dad ...

On the 17th I was on my way to drop my daughter off at school,my gran at my mom's and then head to work, but unfortunately a taxi flashed me with lights and honked as he wanted to pass by ,when I moved to the left lane he drove faster to be equal to my car and started swearing and then pushed me of the road with the taxi ... There were a concrete slab infront of us and I had to swerve away... I lost control into the oncoming traffic where we had a head-on collision. This was approximately around 6:30-7:00 am... 

I can't remember much of that day except that my daughter was screaming above my head she just wanted her mom and I couldn't get to her.

My daughter broke her jaw in 2 places and her upper right leg, she has also recovered really well but unfortunately needs to go for another operation on her leg and she was put in the care of her paternal grandmother so that she can attend school while I was still in the hospital ... 

I myself fractured my hip and broke my ankle, I did go for physiotherapy, but my hip still gives in from time to time...

I lost my unborn child at 5 months... 

My eye lid was torn, so they used a skin graft from behind my ear just to cover the torn part on my eye lid. My eye is unable to close now and will need surgery in the future ... 

My pancreas was torn, so they had to put a pipe through my belly to drain the fluid in my splenic...

I was admitted in Sobokeng from the 17th April up until the 30th April, when I was transported to Baragwanath, where I was admitted from the 30th of April to the 3rd of June... 

I lost everything due to the accident. My work (I worked as general manager at magic tavern in arcon park, it was a restaurant that seated over 350 people) they needed new management and had no other option but to replace me, when I went back no position was available at that stage and later on I learned that magic tavern was been sold. I lost my house, my income and my children... 

I have been fighting to get a job the past few years, and it's been difficult... 

I have been traveling from family to family just to survive, then I met someone who made me feel good about the way I looked, knocked me up and then on the 23rd December 2019 and left, leaving me with a beautiful baby with no income, he wrote her off and wants nothing to do with her so she has been my main priority since I found out I was pregnant... 

My mom got tired of me moving from place to place and then offered for me to stay by her but U fortunately I had to leave... 

My friend helped me to set up home for my children and all our daily expenses medical aid , food , rent , water , lights ect but won't be able to help anymore ...

I already feel so bad struggling to provide for my 3 year old, but I truly want all my kidz at home my son came home 17 December 2023 just my eldest daughter left ... 

I have to consider their medical aid, their school fees, their school stationary, the house , water , food and food in their bellies ...
