As a first-time homebuyer, I looked to the government's FLISP grant to aid us in this endeavor. It seemed like a lifeline, a glimmer of hope to ease our financial burden. However, fate had other plans, as our application for assistance declined, leaving me to face the daunting task alone.

Undeterred by setbacks, I refuse to let adversity dictate the outcome. I stand at a crossroads, facing the daunting reality of coming up with the entirety of R45,500 for transfer costs, legal fees, and other expenses.
