Swartland Community Cadet Squad

Swartland Community Cadet Squad is a non-profit organisation that caters to the Swartland region's youth and active adult segment (from Philadelphia up to Mooreesburg, Riebeeck West and Riebeeck Kasteel ).

As an outreach program, the primary goal of this organisation is to act as both a Recreational and Social Agent on the West Coast.

This body's core activity is establishing cadet squads, drumlines, and a marching band to include the youth in other extracurricular activities. The sole intention is to keep the child busy with positive things to enhance self-discipline and direction.

Furthermore, it also allows the youth to learn to play instruments and read music. As such, they learn to be more focused and become agents of change in marginalised Communities.

"It is the mission of the Swartland Community Cadet Squad to bring hope to the people and to create an active and engaged citizenry.

We work with the youth in the Swartland Region, keeping kids off the streets and involving them in positive activities and travel to participate in Regional and Provincial Competitions.
