Education fees for Student Campaign
Sharne will be a second year vet student at the University of Pretoria South Africa in 2024. Since primary school she has been a dedicated student always being top of her class. There were many hardships but she is a little bundle of dinamite whom knows that hard work pays and perseverance is key. She received a bursary from Nsfas for students from a low income household, (her dad sadly passed away in 2018 and her mom a single parent). During the first year they covered most of the fees. However, in 2023 Nsfas made some changes. They decided to lower the amount of money allocated for accomodation, meals ect. and this resulted in some of her fees not being paid. Her residence levy for next year is also due but the state owned institution has not paid the money as yet. She now has a financial block at the university. To pursue her dream, and be able to register for her subjects next semester she must pay the outstanding fees.
