A Little Support Please Campaign
Good day pontential donorI hope all is well with you reading this message. I finished school 2018. I was accepted for three different courses Biological, Law and Drama in a few different institutions. Registration was difficult, instead I packed my bags and took a bus to Johannesburg.
By my belief, I got my first employment at 19 years. 2020 came and I decided to register for Law at Unisa weighing the options. Nsfas rejected me twice during that period due to my parent's salaries and one thing I can mention honestly is both my parents work, but they do not wish to pay for any of my studies as a girl in the family, what is expected from me is marriage and moving onto a new surname. Investing in me is kind of a loss to them. However I managed to pay registration using my salary that time, with hope that I will apply for nsfas using my own payslip. That's when Covid came, and I had to change employment. I got to do well in the first semester modules.
The next few years that came, I have managed to get small employment that cover only rent, a bit of food and necessities. I placed my studies on hold. This year, I really am hungry to finish my LLB degree. I have a heart that hopes to reach a level where I can help the kids I got to tutor for free in Johannesburg. With some private schools prioritizing money over the needs of learners hungry to learn, I do wish I could create more change in that department with my studies.
If you have read this far, I would really appreciate help in getting a foot in again with registration this year. I am not someone that asks but I realised without seeking help and trying, I might not reach very far with things around also getting harder. Hopefully with the right motivation, support from you, I will always be grateful and appreciative. It would make me the happiest student. Thank you so much for letting me take a bit of your tìme.
Sincere kind regards
Siphosethu
