Mel Christmas Wish Campaign

For my friend Melanie Fairburn. She just needs a little hand up over this season (like many I know). This hit hard because 8 years ago myself and my husband and two babies lost everything, had to live in a Caravan. My eldest had to complete high school living with family. It took many years and alot of sacrifice to get out of that hole. And then my husband, who could not keep a job, began having health issues. A brain tumour affecting all cognitive function. He died April 2020. I could never have done it without the help and support of family and friends. Alot came from unexpected places, like ex school friends I had not seen in years. It was invaluable. I would like to do the same for Mel.  She is too proud, and dealing with too much, to do this. So I will. Here is her story..... We have found ourselves in a really traumatic and hectic situation. Our landladies house that backs our house burnt down a few weeks ago. Our bedroom roof also burnt. She removed the roof before the assessor came and then the house was condemned. We had 24 hours to get out and have had to resort to living in tents in our neighbors yard. We have no electricity or water. My mom has had to go stay at Tony as she was not doing well after the fire. It was very traumatizing. We have a claim going in but that will take a week or two. Does anyone perhaps know of someone that has a piece of land for us to camp on that is not so exposed. We have all we need but can't get set up as this is not a space for living. We can't afford much as all our money has gone to buying tents and all the extra we have had to get with no electricity and water. 🙈🙈🙈 Anything will do. We have our pets which are all travel ready as well. I can't face even thinking of having to rehome any of them. We are so desperate. Richard only got out of hospital a few days before this all happened after being in for 5 weeks. So he is not totally at his best yet. Im feeling so hopeless... Please we are basically homeless at the moment.
