Funds for Corneal Transplant Campaign
I come today with a humble heart to ask for donations to get a Corneal transplant.
I have already had 2 transplants at the State Hospitals which my body rejected. My last transplant was done in 2020 at Groote Schuur Hospital. There is a very long waiting list for corneas and patients who have not yet received a cornea get first option.
Because of the increased pressure and pain, I have in my eye, I must get a corneal transplant as soon as possible to try to save my eye.
The private specialist also feels that the operation will be more successful if I have it done privately because their equipment is more modern and will be more effective.
