This is me. Rensche. I meme under the pen name Robin. You can see why - my name is actually unique and uncommon!

My life feels like the best story ever told so far. And I love it. And I need you to help me live it.

Why do I need funds? I’m the patient right now. And they don’t know what’s wrong with me. The tests and medical expenses are too much for me. I do not have an income. 

When do I finish? Our course has been extended to end at the end of March 2024 due to administrative issues encountered by the university I did my degree at. This has caused me to lose my job placement that would have started the 1st of March. The next available post (we have to do government work for a year in South Africa) opens either in August (if I’m lucky) but most likely February 2025. In the mean time I have medical bills and student debt to pay and no income. Please help me before I’m forced to sell feet pics! 

Where will the funds go? Towards paying my medical bills. I’ve been in hospital as a patient for more than a week with symptoms of encephalitis involving fever, headaches and cough. A CT of my chest shows nodules in my lungs.  They’re not sure what it is from. More tests. More medication. I’m planning to overcome this!

Why help me? I’m that nurse who chooses my patients. I’ve got high work standards and I back up my absolute passion in nursing by being the top of my class for all years of study. I’ve also won awards for my passion in nursing.

What are my goals? I’m planning to stay in South Africa- I want to work in Cape Town at a government hospital in the areas where other people don’t want to work due to the gang violence and dangerous conditions. Why? Because I am driven to make a difference and I want to do it where it matters. 

I have a passion for women’s health, labour and delivery and emergency nursing. I love how these come together in the areas I want to work in.
