A Dream is Almost True Campaign

Hi There Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to read my story. I'm a regular person, from a small coastal town in South Africa. I'm passionate about writing, but the proverbial Muse has eluded me for quite some time, so I needed another creative outlet to maintain good mental health.

I started 'happy snapping' photographs with my cell phone and entered some photos in various exhibition challenges online. I never thought my work would ever be good enough to be showcased - but it is!

I've qualified and paid exhibition fees for four exhibits (out of my savings) which are being held at different times throughout the year: in Mexico, Chicago, Cyprus, and closer to home, in Johannesburg. It would be a dream come true for me to attend the latter, but I unfortunately don't have the funds to cover air travel- and other expenses for the weekend the exhibition is being hosted. A friend has offered me free accommodation should I be able to secure the funds to get to Johannesburg.

I'm appealing to each one reading this... if you feel led to fund a part of my campaign, all I need to make this dream a reality is about 180 people to donate just one US Dollar (about ZAR20). If additional funds are raised, I'll put them towards an online course that will teach me more about photography.
