Help Matthew play in World Cup Campaign
My son Matthew Walbank, is 22 years old and plays touch rugby for the Easterns Touch Association (ETA) provincial team.
He have had the great honor of being selected to represent South Africa in the Men's Open Team to participate in the Touch World Cup, which will take place in Nottingham England from the 15th to the 21st of July 2024.
This is a huge opportunity for him because not only will he be representing his country he will have the opportunity to play with some of the world's best touch players. The knowledge and skill he acquire from this experience, he plan to bring back to South Africa and share with all touch rugby player, including the junior provincial eastern players he coaches (Under 15 and Under 17 Boys), to enable them to be more competitive in the further Touch World Cups.
His motto is “START UNKNOWN, FINISH UNFORGETTABLE”
Touch rugby is a pay to play sport, which means that he will be responsible for funding himself for this event (World Cup 2024). The estimated cost will be around R65 000-00
The R65 000-00 is split as follows:

e. Medical (doctor and Physio).
f. Coaches and Managers.
2. ±R26 000-00 for his arrangement of the following:

He would like to request for financial assistance from whoever can help, no amount of money is too little and will be greatly appreciated.
