2024 Paris Paralympics Volunteer Campaign
My name is Nothemba Thobela, a 29-year-old female physiotherapist working in rehabilitation with a keen interest in adaptive/disability sports.
My love for disability sports has frown and developed from being involved with wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball and my most recent upcoming adventure, enrolling our team in the Outenique Chair Challenge (wheelchair race in George)
I have been selected as one of thousands of volunteers globally to participate in the 2024 Paris Paralympics and I would absolutely love to make this once in a lifetime dream come true.
I have been involved in many other small developmental and awareness projects to promote adaptive sports in rehabilitation and community settings for people living with a disability. This opportunity is important to me because it could open more doors into the world of adaptive sports and equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to help create, promote and grow the world of adaptive/disability sports in South Africa.
I need assistance with travel and accommodation funding to Paris in order to fulfill my role as a volunteer and to network and participate in the 2024 Paris Paralympics
