Help Zonica To Stay With Her Sister Campaign
Hi my name is Monica, I am Zonica's sister. We require urgent assistance to raise funds for Zonica to stay with me and my husband. If we cannot raise the funds we will have to return to South Africa where we do not have work or a home.Zonica suffers from a mental illness called Danny Walker Syndrome since birth. She is currently 20 years old but has the mental capacity of a 3 year old. She cannot speak and uses some sign language to communicate with me and my husband Jevon.
Me and Jevon got married in April of 2023 after we received news that Jevon received a job offer in the Netherlands. Jevon arrived in the Netherlands late May 2023 and I could only join him in August 2023 due to administrative delays.
My mother Hannelie cared for Zonica since she was born as she cannot do basic tasks on her own.
On the 6th of September 2023 I received the news that my Mother suddenly passed away.
Both me and Jevon immediately returned to South -Africa to be with Zonica as there was no one to care for her for a prolong period of time.
We immediately started the process for Zonica to live with us in the Nederlands and we found a immigration attorney willing to help us with her case as it is extremely hard case.
Both me and Zonica arrived in the Netherlands in October 2023.
We borrowed money from friends and family to pay the attorney as her invoice was €3 200.00 ( R65 811.60).
However, on the 28th of February 2024 we received a letter from the Dutch government informing us that Zonica cannot stay with us and that she must return to SA in four weeks.
We then contacted the attorney who advised us that the officer on the case did not do a good job an did not take all the evidence into account.
We now need to submit an appeal for their decision and to get a new officer on ger case. We need to submit a second application for Zonica to stay with us to wait for the ruling.
The attorney requires €3 210.00 (R66 018.00) payment in order to proceed with this matter.
Please assist us with this matter as we have nothing to return to in South Africa as we sold all out belongings.
