Kidney Failure Issues Campaign

 

In March 1996 at the age of 19, I suffered some heavy pains and was unable to pee the little that came out was mixed with blood. I did got treatment but I had some pains that strike after few weeks but not staying for long just few minutes then they gone. This has been going on till again I suffered same pains in 1999 that's when I was told I have kidney problem they not functioning well. I was then send to public hospitals in the province for further assistance as I was still looking for job and couldn't afford private doctors.

 

In 2019 2 doctors told my parents I will not live for long as the kidneys are slowly dying hence I get sudden pains here and there that do not stay for long but do damage the kidney. In May 2013 the pains strike again this time I couldn't walk not even get of bed, it took me full 2 weeks in bed that's when my parents thought maybe this is the end of me and my mom suffered a heart attack. In August 2013 I was attended by doctors at General Hospital at Lichtenburg but no help however I started recovering and tried to be strong for my mom.

 

All this time I kept the faith that I will live my life till God take it. Unfortunate my mom passed away in October 2013 due to heart attack complications.

 

I have been in an out of public hospitals, visited different doctors. Some they suggested medication dat cos too much, the minimum was R800 per month and once I start taking it I should not skip or stop. Due to pains I could do heavy jobs so it became a problem to get a job.

 

However we started a community radio station called Ratlou FM in Madibogo we I volunteer and paid stipend when funds are available. In February 2022 I had to leave the station as the pains where heavier and complicated my work and there are times where I had to ask for assistance while I was in the middle of the show.

 

Since February 2022 I have experience financial constraint as I most of the time in bed I survive by helping people in this area with graphics design and business registration issues. I have 4 kids to take care of we survive by Child Support Grants and we both not employed.

 

It is against this background that I need funds to get medical help and a wheelchair as now I suffer lots of back pains and my legs are now struggling to move. There are times were I will feel no pains at all for hours then suddenly pains comes heavier everytime I even once fell and almost cause an accident.

 

Any form of help will be much appreciated specially towards my health condition.
