My Fellow South Africans Campaign

Hi, I'm Mike van Graan, the writer and producer of the satirical multi-sketch revue, My Fellow South Africans . Kim Blanche Adonis performed the show to great acclaim more than 100 times last year.  We planned to use the show to mobilize young people to take part in the forthcoming - and potentially watershed - elections.  However, Kim tore ligaments in her ankle and is now in a moonboot.  For 2-3 months, Kim will not have a source of income, but she will continue to have medical and normal expenses.  This is to raise R85 000 both to cover Kim's monthly costs as well as to integrate a new actor who could play a version of the role during her absence.  Given the demand for the piece in the build-up to the elections, both Kim and the new actor will perform it around the country, as well as make relevant excerpts available on social media.
