Olive Campaign
Olive is a 2 year old dapple Dachshund that has been left paralysed by an
Intervertebral disc disease.31/12/2023 - Olive collapsed and went into a spasm.
1/1/2024 - Olive went for a CT scan at 11 am, followed by an emergency Ventral slot decompression operation at 12 pm.
5/1/2024 - After intensive physio, EMS and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, it was concluded that she is paralysed in her front right leg, not being able to stand or walk and will remain in hospital for the near future.
It is with a heavy heart that I’m asking if anybody will be able to contribute to Olive’s road to recovery.
Olive’s surgeon Dr Krafft said it’s the worst neck injury he has ever had to operate on, but truly believes this little nugget deserves a fighting chance.
We have a Medical plan in place, but unfortunately Olive’s incident falls under the treatments with a lengthy waiting period. Dr Krafft is writing a motivational letter to the Fund trying to settle a portion of the bill. Funds raised will go towards her hospital and recovery expenses.
If anyone can find it in their hearts to help me and Olive, I would appreciate it immensely.
