Dream Team Eco Paddle Power Campaign

My daughter Cara, & three of her adventure guide colleagues *Gavin, Sergio, Rob, are on an exciting & meaningful expedition - Source to Sea on the Tugela River. 

The Dream Team aims to do an educational,  zero footprint recce with high hopes of starting their own operation eventually.  Learning  from the locals along the way & feeding off the land, their wish is to teach & illustrate to existing commecial operators, surrounding local comunities &  hopefully everyone who ever wanted to do a paddle trip on one of our SA rivers, that sustainability & zero footprint plus an all 'round healthier, kinder way is an achievable alternative to current  industry norms. Most current practices are seriously lacking in eco frindly approach to running our rivers .

The Team are currently completely self funded & hope to raise more funds to empower them to deliver  their passionate & strong message to the commecial world while also living their truth. Funds raised will go towards,  equipement hire, replacements, first aid kit, safety gear & fuel for getting supplies & moving between rivers. Since not all food sources are fully available yet on the river (naturally), food & water purifying tools will also help sustain the Dream Team while on their incredible, 6 to 8 week journey. They have been training hard, planning furiously, prepping logistics & getting permission to access some very remote & tricky areas not normally accessible to the general public. Practice & training runs have already been done on the great Kei & the uMzimvubu rivers.

They will be testing water ecologies & toxicology levels for data to submit to authorities, free styling, living off the land, hiking, paddling & engaging with local communities all along the way.
