My son Christiaan endured a month-long battle with viral infections, leading to a grim diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 7. Despite immediate and intense chemotherapy at Tygerberg Hospital, he faced setbacks and transitions to high-risk treatment. After 28 challenging days, he achieved remission. Now, eight months into a three-year journey, we navigate the financial and emotional challenges of childhood leukemia.
