Invisible Battles Campaign

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share a personal journey that has led me to a vulnerable moment in my life. I am currently fighting a rare form of cancer where I have neuroendocrine tumours in my pancreas, liver, and adrenal gland, and the financial burden of treatment has become overwhelming. Doctors aren't able to provide much information nor is there much research to go through and attempt to gain some sort of understanding. They also tell me that they have not seen this type of cancer in someone my age. 

 

The first form of treatment (PRRT) was unsuccessful, therefore, the next few months are going to be tough and will come with many challenges. I will have to undergo a very complex surgery involving the removal of my pancreas, spleen, and left adrenal gland. My life will change forever. 

 

I have always been someone to navigate life's challenges independently, but now I find myself at a crossroads where I need your support. I understand that times are tough for everyone, and your consideration means the world to me. No amount is too small, and your generosity will be a beacon of hope during this challenging chapter. I am fortunate enough to have the luxury of belonging to a medical aid, but often it's just not enough, and the reality is that I am regularly blindsided by an expense that was not planned for.
