Kids Dental Home Foundation
Imagine enduring daily toothaches for two years because you can't afford treatment! This is the reality for 60% of children under 6 in South Africa. Kids Dental Home Foundation, a registered non-profit, aims to change this. Founded by a dedicated pediatric dentist and humanitarian, it addresses long waiting periods and financial barriers for children from low socio-economic backgrounds needing dental surgeries. Our focus is on Early Childhood Caries (ECC), a severe tooth decay affecting many young children.
ECC is largely preventable, but it's prevalent, especially in disadvantaged populations. Since our launch in 2022, we've provided dental surgeries to 24 needy children. We're currently raising R580,000 for the 2024 Annual Pro Bono Dental Surgeries, set for March 20th on World Oral Health Day.
