James Alan Fouches Medical Journey Campaign
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
We come to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance as we launch the "Back a Buddy" campaign for James Alan Fouche, a retired SAP member residing in Strand, Cape Town. James is facing a critical medical situation and requires your support to undergo a life-saving operation.
Campaign Details:
- Beneficiary: James Alan Fouche
- Age: 61
- Date of Operation: 9th April 2024
- Medical Concern: Removal of a tumour in his upper front jaw, which poses a life-threatening risk as it is growing and affecting his sinus.
- Surgeons: Dr S D Otto (Maxillofacial & Oral Surgeon) and Professor Ottie van Zyl (Plastic & Reconstruction Surgeon).
James has dedicated 37 years of his life to serving in the South African Police Service (SAPS), even overcoming a brain surgery in 1996. Unfortunately, he faced additional health challenges, including a stroke and a heart attack in 2019, leading to his retirement in December 2018 due to memory loss and fatigue.
Currently, James is undergoing treatment for memory loss with a psychiatrist and psychologist. The upcoming surgery is essential to address the growing tumour in his upper jaw, but the associated medical costs are substantial.
Financial Breakdown:
- Dr S D Otto's fee: R19,000
- Professor Ottie van Zyl's fee: R18,000 (additional)
- Aesthetic and hospital fees: To be determined.
Post-surgery, James will require dental implants and a mouthpiece, the cost of which is uncertain until the surgery is completed.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Contribute any amount you can to help cover the medical expenses. Every rand counts.
2. Spread the Word: Share this campaign on social media, email, and other platforms to reach a broader audience.
3. Prayers and Well Wishes: Send positive thoughts and prayers for James's successful surgery and recovery.
Your generosity and support will make a significant impact on James's journey towards recovery. Together, we can make a difference in his life and provide the financial assistance needed for his medical expenses.
Thank you for standing with James during this challenging time.
With gratitude,
