Get 17yr Protea to Egypt Campaign

My name is Jaun and I am a 17 year old high school pupil from Centurion. To qualify as a junior Protea and represent South Africa in wrestling has been my goal since I was 5 years old. I have competed at the yearly South African Youth National Championship since I was 10 years old and have since won 11 gold medals in Freestyle and Greco Roman. I won the silver medal at the u/17 National Championship in 2021 and gold in 2022.

In October 2023 I won the gold medal in u/20 Freestyle and was selected by the South African Wrestling Federation to compete in the 70kg weight category for u/20 year old's at the African Continental Championships held in Alexandria, Egypt from 14 to 19 March 2024.

The estimated cost of the tour is R36 760 that includes accommodation, flights, entry fee, UWW license, insurance, team shirt, and administration costs. The costs are for each team members' own pocket. Unfortunately I will be excluded from the team if we cannot raise the amount by the 28th of February 2024.

Wrestling is not only a sport but a way of life and I have dedicated all to be the best. With your help I will be able to compete against the best wrestlers in Africa and forge my path to compete at the Olympics in the future.
