In the wake of a tragic car accident that claimed her husband's life on October 3, 2016, Marnè Lloyd found a profound calling to make a difference. Fueled by the pain of personal loss, she dedicated herself to obtaining first aid training and emerged as a committed medical responder within her local CPF. Her mission was clear: to spare other families the heartache she experienced, ensuring they had the vital support until professional medical services arrived.

In 2021, Marnè took her passion a step further by joining S.T.A.R.T. (Specialized Tactical Accident Rescue Team). Since then, she has become a linchpin in the organization, assuming the pivotal role of Events Coordinator. Through her efforts, she has significantly contributed to S.T.A.R.T.'s mission of providing Emergency Medical Event Solutions.

In 2023 alone, Marnè has been instrumental in coordinating 32 events across the Durban area, showcasing her unwavering dedication to emergency medical event solutions. Among these, the South African National Climbing Federation (SANCF) National Championship 2023, the Upper Highway Trail Marathon 2023(UHTM) and countless community-based events such as Halloween events, fun runs ect.
