Helping Carter Campaign

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share an important update regarding our beloved grandson, Carter who is 4 years old and is on the Autism spectrum. Recently, Dr. Gray advised Taylea and Seth that Carter needs to undergo a procedure to clear out his colon.

They've been presented with two options, and I wanted to provide you with the details:

Option 1 involves emptying out Carter's rectum and injecting botox into the anal sphincter. This procedure requires him going into theatre, they will place a tube in his nose while he's asleep, followed by the bowel prep. He will have to stay overnight. The estimated cost, covering the surgeon, hospital, and theatre time, is approximately R10,000.

Option 2 is to use Picolax, but this means Carter may experience pain and discomfort, with more frequent diaper changes while his colon is being cleaned out. 

Considering the financial impact of Carter's medical needs, I'm reaching out to ask for your support. If you can contribute towards the medical expenses, it would greatly alleviate the burden on Taylea and Seth during this challenging time.
