Doreen Wright - Past-Pupils Support Secure Retirement

After vicious attacks on the life of one the most gentle and generous elders in our community, we are supporting the safe and secure retirement of Mrs Doreen Wright.

Doreen was teacher, headmistress, and founder a member of so many

Shalom Jewish Nursery.

Loretto Convent.

Somerset House Preparatory School.

Happy Days Pre-Primary School.

Horizon Remedial School.

Somerset West, Strand, Gordons Bay, Helderberg area.

Please consider carefully the value that Doreen has added to your life in your early foundation years. At that time you were a tiny tot, so ask your parents, and your grandparents, all about Doreen's input in your life. Her guidance both professional and emotional, her care and conversation, her advice and her dedication with which she was your teacher.

alias Teacher Doreen, aka Missus Wraaaaaaight, has been an activist in social change, not as the Apartheid government suspected her while teaching at a Chinese School, Port Elizabeth, but as Board Member of PATCH Helderberg Child Abuse Centre.

Doreen dedicated the decades of her family life, her working life, and even her retirement years to the education, creative development, and integration of our children and our youth with disabilities into becoming functional members of our society, and of good fortune in our community.

In the spirit of her generosity,

let us now pay her back.
