Lynn and Et Home Based Care Campaign

Hello, I'm Etienne Emmanuel, and this is Lynnette Wienand, a dear friend I met in 2019. Lynnette recently returned from New Zealand after a 7-month absence, only to find her youngest son had passed away. Devastated, she needed a caregiver but wasn't satisfied with the current arrangement. Wanting to lift her spirits, I decided to surprise her just before Christmas.

Discovering her need for companionship, she asked me to move in. Though honored, I realized I lacked the necessary caregiving skills. My plea is to raise funds for a home-based care course so I can better support Lynnette. I have a day job to sustain myself, and I seek nothing in return except the satisfaction of being there for my friend.

I plan to manage daytime care while I work and take over the night shift. The goal is to ensure Lynnette's safety and comfort. I aim to raise around R10,000 for the necessary studies. Though hesitant to ask for help, I believe in the power of community support. I'll document this journey, with Lynnette's permission, as two unlikely friends navigate life's challenges together.
