Visa Lawsuit Lawyers Fees Campaign
On 15 August 2022 we applied for a sposal Visa for myself in order to stay in South Africa with my husband. As of the time of creating this fund we have not heard a single update with regards to the application.
As we understand it there is a MASSIVE backlog at the Home Affairs which they do not seems to be catching up with anytime soon.
We cannot go visit our family in Namibia because of the pending status of the application. While there were certain blanket extentions to allow for us to go visit on the past; it has now come to an end and as such we are stuck here.
By far the worst part of this is that our first child was born on 05 October 2023. We dearly want her to meet her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins as soon as possible!
So, here is why we are wanting to start this fund.
Recently there has been some success in taking the Department of Home Affairs to court in order to expidite the application process. We intend to hire Immigration Lawyers to make the DHA issue the Visa and possibly extend the visa by the time we lost during this waiting period.
We humbly request your help to pay these lawyers so that we can go visit our family and allow me to start working and living properly in South Africa
Sincerely,
Esme Verwey
