The Help Ansie Fund Campaign

Ansie Reitsma suffered a major heart attack in July 2023, leading to the need for a heart valve procedure costing around R500,000.

Sadly, her medical aid won't cover it, and negotiations for Ex Gratia assistance are delayed. In the meantime, Ansie faces frequent hospitalizations. Recently, she experienced another heart attack, revealing further complications.

Retired with a small pension, Ansie can't afford the medical bills, approximately R17,000, not covered by her medical aid. Facing pressure to pay within 4 months, this is just the beginning of her mounting medical expenses.

As Ansie's friends, we want to support her. She has given selflessly to the community in Stanford for about 20 years. We're seeking help to alleviate her financial burden. The total cost includes outstanding bills, ongoing hospital stay expenses, and the significant amount for the heart valve procedure.
