Outstanding University Fees 65137 Campaign

I am Deveron Size, a 26 year old student from Makhanda formerly known as Grahamstown in the province of the Eastern Cape (South Africa). I am currently studying at Rhodes University doing a B.Ed degree in Foundation Phase. My fees were covered by Funza Lushaka Bursary for the year 2022 and 2023 academic years, however it unfortunately did not cover the full amount owed and I am not in a stable position to cover the outstanding about of debt which was carried over from 2022. If I am unable to pay the R54 000.00 and be unable to register for the year 2024 to complete my final year at Rhodes University in Grahamstown (Makhanda) 

I am raising these funds in order to receive my results and be able to register myself for my final year which is suppose to be 2024. I am raising these funds also to reach the goal that I have set for myself to become a teacher and to help others in getting and receiving the education they need starting at the foundation of all. This is important to me as it would have a huge impact on my life if I complete my degree and graduate, I will be the first one to graduate in my whole family and just to mention I am the first one to be at a university in my family. So this is important to me to get my degree and provide for myself and my family. 

The impact that these funds will bring is that I will be able to complete my final year and get to start teaching at a school if I graduate. It will assist me in providing and assisting in taking care of my family. 

The funds raised will be used to cover the historical debt of R54 000.00 at Rhodes University and then I will be able to receive my results and possibly register for the following academical year (2024). I have applied for funding for 2024 from both Funza Lushaka Bursary and NSFAS for 2024.
