Luan Was Born On the 16th of May, 2018 6 years ago, We got the suspicion that our son, Luan, might be autistic. This suspicion began to emerge when he was about 2 years old. We started paying attention to the things he was doing, and it made us think that there was something more going on. Unfortunately, we did not have the financial means to have the necessary tests done, and this is something we have not been able to do to this day. Luan is now at a point where he is reaching the age where he has to start attending school. This is an important milestone in his life. We made inquiries at the Notabene school in Kuilsrivier, but we were confronted with the demand that we have to have Luan tested before they can accept him. These tests amount to a substantial amount of R11000, which we simply do not have available at the moment. I strongly believe that it is of utmost importance that Luan is in a school where he can be happy and where he can receive the necessary educational support. We want to choose not only a place where he can be, but a place where he can thrive and reach his potential. We are hoping for a solution that will enable us to afford the necessary tests so that Luan can start walking the right path to his future.
