Laylah USA Gymnastics Campaign

My daughter, Laylah, is a member of the All Stars Gymnastics Club located in Durbanville.

In 2018, Laylah became a member of the club during her first year in Grade 1. Her knack for balancing on various surfaces caught my attention early on, a skill quite exceptional for her age. Discovering her passion for gymnastics, I wasted no time in enrolling her at All Stars Gymnastics.

As 2018 drew to a close, Laylah's coach proposed she was ready for competitive gymnastics. Embracing this new venture with enthusiasm, I plunged into the world of gymnastics alongside her.

In 2020, our family relocated to Johannesburg, where Laylah continued her gymnastics journey as a member of the JCG Club, ensuring her ongoing development in her beloved sport. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown during the Easter holidays while we were visiting family in Cape Town necessitated a shift to online gymnastics sessions. By the end of 2020, we reconnected with All Stars Gymnastics. Due to the disruptions caused by Covid-19, Laylah had to repeat level 3, but she has since been a consistent participant in the annual SAGF Competitions.

In October 2023, Laylah represented the Western Province Club in Johannesburg, a thrilling experience for our family. We embarked on a road trip to support her, marking a memorable event in her competitive journey.

By the end of 2023, All Stars Gymnastics received an invitation to compete in Florida, USA, in June 2024. This opportunity is incredibly exciting for us, witnessing Laylah's growth and self-challenge in gymnastics. Competing in the USA is a dream come true for Laylah.

I have attended every competition, marveling at Laylah's progress in this unique sport. As her biggest supporter, I take time off from work to cheer her on. From Saldanha to Uitenhage in 2019, I strive to attend all her competitions, regardless of their location.

The cost of the USA trip amounts to R 57103.47, covering return flights, accommodation, attire, meals, and two days' admission to Disney World, among other expenses. While this opportunity is a dream come true, I am unable to shoulder the financial burden alone. We humbly seek assistance in making Laylah's once-in-a-lifetime dream a reality. As her staunchest advocate, I've stood by her throughout her journey until now. I wish to accompany her in this endeavor to provide emotional support and to cheer her on every step of the way. My return flight ticket to the USA plus accommodation would be R 30408.43.
