Small farm Campaign
My name is Ches and I have been growing my microgreens farm over the past 3 years.
I started this business out of passion for my son’s health. He struggled with asthma, and the only thing that was a bale to help reduce his symptoms was the sulforaphane from the broccoli greens. I wasn’t able to get enough anywhere else. After I saw how much it helped him I wanted to ensure more people had affordable access to these super healthy greens, and so Mircogreens SA was born.
I’m 28 years old and live in Cape Town with my 2 boys, and my son goes from strength to strength.
We have taken the business from just a hobby and turned it into a business that is providing multiple homes and children with nutritional microgreens and veggies at affordable rates. I’m now at the stage where I need a bigger grow space to meet the demand and I don’t have the capital to cover that.
We are at a point where I business can either make it or break it and we need some help. This is based on expanding our grow space, getting all our certificates into place and providing more jobs within the local community.
I’m looking for some support as I continue to provide for my boys, contribute to the community through job creation and grow my capacity to bring these greens to more people at the same time.
