Help Margo get to Nationals Campaign

Margo is a qualified dancer and dance teacher from Joan of Arts School of Dance (JoA), where she manages and handles all aspects, including admin. She has been selected together with 10 of her dancers to represent WP Dance Club League Nationals in Gauteng for the weekend commencing 13th to 15th October 2023.

Margo founded the dance school in 2021 in Kommetjie, Cape Town at the age of 24.

She depends solely on dance fees to cover rental, competetion and show fees, as well as her personal/day to day expenses. 

The dance school currenly operates from the local primary school and church in Kommetjie, and rental amounts to R3500 per month, with monthly income from dance fees amounting to 10k to 12k. 

Margo is also a qualified personal trainer at Virgin Active and needs to cover additional rental of 5k there, so she is barely able to break even or pay herself a decent salary.

She is a passionate, loving and motivated teacher and performer, and a great example and asset in the community.

A cost of R7260 to R8110 is required for Margo to be able to attend the Nationals in October.

Breakdown of money required is as follows:

Flights - R1860.00 to R2260.00 (CT to Lanseria)

Accommodation - R2400.00

Bus transfer - R500.00 (To and from airport and competition venue)

Entry fee - R450.00

Admin fee - R200.00

WP kit - R1550.00 - R2000.00

Food - R300.00

This is quite a substantial amount for a local trip/competition, and i would not want Margo to miss the opportuniy to represent her dance school and province.

It also affords her the opportunity to obtain her WP colours not only as a dancer, but as a dance coach, and will open up many doors for her.
