FIH Junior World Cup Campaign
My name is Caleb Oliphant, I am currently studying at University of Stellenbosch, completed my third 3rd year, studying BA Visual Arts, duration four years. I am one of two siblings and my mother is the main provider as my dad was retrenched in 2017 and is still unable to find a job or a way to support the family. I was priviliged to obtain a scholarship in 2016 at Bishops College to complete my High School and during this time i was exposed to the best training and hockey coaches, which inspired me to continue playing Hockey at the highest level.
I was selected to represent SA under 21 in March to participate in the African Championship, where we qualified for the Junior World Cup in Malaysia. Selection to the SA u 21 Team is a dream come true, and despite difficult circumstances I have persisted with my training and preparation to ensure I am ready when selected. 2023 has been a busy year and apart from my studies I took part in the following Tournaments:
