UCT Fundraiser Campaign
Hello, my name is Beth, and I have recently been accepted into the LLB programme at UCT for this current year 2024. I am super excited about the opportunity to be able to study further and pursue my goals!Since then, It has been a challenge to stay in the Law dream, from attending less-than-ideal institutions to moments of doubting my educational journey. However, in 2021 I decided to restart my education journey, and this past year 2023, I successfully completed a Bcom Law degree, achieving a 77% aggregate with an overall distinction.
To fund my education since 2021, I have been working part-time to make the monthly payments. However, UCT now requires two bi-annual lump sum payments, and I find myself unable to meet this obligation independently.
The total cost for my LLB degree in 2024 is R72,600. I am grateful to have received an academic scholarship from UCT, amounting to R20,000. The university has allowed me to deduct 50% from each payment, leaving me with February's payment of R21,000 and June's payment of R31,600.
