MOMMY HOME BASED RESPITE CARE Campaign

Trust all is well.  My name is Benita Desmore and I am Mom's sole caregiver.  My biggest concern is something happening to Mommy and Iam not with her.  I have been with my Mom taking care of my Dad and the household from very young.  I have been with my Mom to every hospital and with every diagnoses and vis versa.

My Mom is the best Mother ever and has health issues for years ranging from depression having had a sick father who died young leaving my mom to care for us.  She did this with dignity, integrity, strength and grace.  However her health took a pounding battling with depression, high blood, diabetes, thyroid and kidney problems, small strokes which led to vascular dimensure.

My Mom was then placed in my care as there was no-one to take care of her and it was always her hearts desires to be home and with family in her last days. I have tried everything to grant this to my mom and keep her comfortable. I had to stop working as her condition deteriorated due to a overdose in insulin which caused severe brain damage. There is nothing that the government hospitals can do for her anymore due to limited resources. 

Mommy needs  24/7 care and I have reached burnt out stage as I am alone with her.

We need assistance with carers, respite care, vibrating matris for circulation, nappies, linen savers, wet wipes, vaseline, linen nighties with open backs as in hospital,  syringes for feeding, vitamins and supplements, filtered water, diabetic and low gi meals and bread, zinc and castor and meds not given by day hospital, rolled oats, lactos free milk,yogurt, bananas, strawberries, grapes, electricity, gas.  Her death policy has lapsed due to missed payments and cannot be reinstated and I have been told to prepare for that.

Our only source of income is Mom's SASSA.
