Funding for Kaila to compete abroad Campaign

Hi everyone, 

I am raising funds to support Kaila's opportunity to represent and dance for SA at the Dance Star World Masters in May 2024, Croatia. 

I am asking here as a lot of you have also followed and supported  Kaila's dancing and now she has this opportunity to dance for SA in Croatia in May 2024. 

The savings account for Kaila's trip to Dance Star is right at the bottom, only if you are in a position to support her to go. Every little bit helps. 

Since Kaila was 18 months old she would kick to the rhythm of any music. She was showing us already that dancing was one of her talents she will pursue with all she has got.

She has been dancing all these years and also close to qualifying for her "teachers". She has received many medals and been placed over the years. She got through with only one duet this year as she could not take on more..... 

Her dance came to a sudden stop when the  pandemic hit us, but as soon as she could, she started again only to be interrupted by a horrific accident where someone drove over her and a friend on the pavement. Thank God they both survived. This happened in April 2022. She could not walk for months and the orthopedic surgeon suggested she goes back to school only during the 3rd term. She worked with no tutoring and still went to write exams and made it to finish grade 10 strong. After months of  trips to the Dr, bio, fisio, therapy etc. she recovered, but she could only start with Hip-hop in 2023 and not her dance styles she was familiar with. It was supposed to have less impact on the leg. She grabbed the opportunity and worked through the pain. 

It was an extremely difficult 2022 for me, for us as this was the year I had to also stop everything and care for her. I lost work as a result. I lost my mom and lost one of my closest friends. Still recovering from the impact 2022 had on our lives. 

Kaila competed the whole year at all competitions, dancing in 1 duet. She gave it her all and she got through to compete Internationally. 

I will appreciate any contribution towards her going as she worked so hard for this, against all obstacles she showed how resilience, determination, discipline and passion get you there. I just can't let finances hold her back.

The total for everything amounts to between R 40 000 and R 45 000. This will include everything. Any contribution will be of so much value to her, to us. Thank you!
