Elmarie Jordaan Campaign
Elmarie is my best friend since we first met in 1993.
She suffered from a bacterial infection to her brain n 2016 - Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM).
She was left disabled after the infection, with her dominant hand paralyzed, a paralyzed leg and a sight impediment.
She has trouble walking, and needs help when getting dressed and moving around.
Because of these circumstances, she could not go back to her job as a restaurant manager.
She receives a disability grant from the government at this time. Because of this, she is not deemed fit to sign a contract to rent a place to stay.
After years of coming up with solutions and plans to house & care for herself and her two sons, she is struggling to make ends meet at this point.
She has to move out of her current residence on 16/12/2023 and has nowhere to go.
Her 15 year-old son lives with her & is still at school.
Despite her using their full SASSA grants and receiving help from friends, she is no longer able to house & feed them. They have been moving from place to place, which is disruptive in a number of ways.
Your donation will go towards securing a more stable living arrangement for her and her son, school fees and expenses, as well as putting food on their table.
