Help Kwando get back on her paws Campaign
Kwando is a certified conservation scent detection dog, trained to sniff out scats of rare and elusive endangered animals, to help in their protection and ultimate survival.
Last month, Kwando was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome in two places along her spine, which requires surgical decompression to reduce pressure on her spinal cord and nerves to alleviate severe pain and hind leg weakness.
We have been in consultation with her veterinarian, physiotherapist and leading veterinary surgeon on the way forward to help Kwando get back on her paws and continue lending a sniff for conservation work.
We are asking for your help in raising funds for her surgery and medical costs. We hope to have the surgery as earliest as possible as her condition is deteriorating rapidly.
Kwando has recently celebrated her 10th birthday, unfortunately it came with a cost and her surgery is unlikely to be covered by pet insurance. Every little bit helps, and we would be forever grateful for your support. Our goal is to raise ZAR50 000 to cover the cost of the surgery and additional medical expenses.
Please consider donating to our campaign and sharing it with your friends and family. Together, we can help Kwando get back on her paws and continue to make a difference in the world.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity 🐾
