Four months ago, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (DCIS).
As you can imagine this diagnosis isn't only terrifying but comes with a road of challenges and sacrifices, only those who have walked it will understand.
As a mother of two young girls, a wife, and being employed full-time, you can only imagine how challenging it is to meet the financial implications of this diagnosis, along with trying to still fulfill all the roles she plays during her treatment regime.
Whilst having medical aid is a blessing in a time like this, there are numerous costs not covered by the medical aid. Fuel expenses, supportive supplements, childcare, and then of course, getting a prosthetic hair piece for when you're feeling at your lowest.
Let's work together and give her the wings she needs to soar through the storm of breast cancer. She is a fighter, but with the right tools, the fight can be made just a little easier on her and her family.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in Yolandie's life. The funds raised will be paid directly into her account to help cover the extensive unexpected costs she is facing.
