My name is Xongi Masiya. I am a proudly South African student that just completed my Honours programme in Practical Theology through the University of Pretoria. I believe that nothing is more important than the desire to keep learning,
which will also increase my chances of gainful employment after graduation. I chose to train with the Faculty of Theology and Religion at UP, not only because it will lead me along the path of becoming the best version of myself, but also because it will prepare me for a vocation of service, sacrifice and support of

On a personal level, I am a motivated, intelligent, determined, and focused student who comes from a loving family and a healthy circle of friends. For this reason, I have earned excellent marks in my classes, I have been elected as the chairperson of House Theology, and I have been accepted into an Masters programme for the current academic year. I believe the tools I have learned to use along my academic journey - critical thinking, efficient time management, self-discipline – shall make it possible for me to complete this next step with great success, but I cannot even begin without your assistance.
