My name is AP, Xolani is my wonderful life partner, whom I am raising these funds for.
She is highly passionate about mental health and community development, particularly in a country such as South Africa , where we are facing multiple generational blockages manifesting into mental health issues. She also has a special interest in assisting adults who are Neurodivergent to make sense of their daily functioning and how to cope.
Xolani's biggest dream has been to start her own practice big enough to assist low income groups by providing comprehensive support in the form of psychological therapy at extremely reduced rates. She has tried tirelessly over the years to gain funding, but the rough economy has made it tough for donations to pour in. She would also love to venture into conducting school readiness assessments at highly reduced costs in order to ensure that children are well equipped mentally, emotionally and academically before starting school.
The funds needed will be used to:
Set up the practice
Pay for office space and logistical issues
Marketing costs
Purchasing assessments
Pay registration fee to the ASCHP in order to register as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor.
Please note that Xolani is a qualified Counsellor and is registered as a Student Registered Counselor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, however she has decided to join another professional platform(ASCHP) which offers much better support for counselors.
I appeal with you all to support her dream, she is definitely the right person for this monumental task. your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
