Personal message

Hi, my name is Xander Wentzel, and I am from Gauteng, Johannesburg.

After my own ongoing medical battle and various challenging times, I want to give back. I have wanted to Ride for a purpose for a long while, and this year is the year!

I am riding the 947 Ride Joburg Cycle Race in support of Botshabelo!
Would you please donate and help me reach my goal? Your contribution, big or small, will encourage me as I tackle this epic race, AND it'll provide critical support to a wonderful Non-Profit Organisation. Together, we can make a HUGE difference in the lives of children!

Botshabelo runs three programmes to uplift children:
1. A Babies Home that offers love and care to abandoned babies.
2. The UpliftED teacher training programme to empower women working in township preschools.
3. Urban Kids Educentre gives kids from all walks of life a brilliant education at a fraction of the cost.

They have been in operation since 2011, and they aim to see children given the best start in life through great care and education.

Being an NPO, the funds will be used for basic necessities such as food, clothing and other essential items.

Let's give back and get on the road... Here's to a fantastic ride!

Please donate as soon as possible... I'm already committed and training and will be racing through the streets of Joburg in a matter of weeks!!

“Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.”

Thank you very much!
