2023 World Clubfoot Day - Shoelace Challenge. We are raising awareness and support for babies born with clubfoot, a common birth defect that is fully treatable. Untreated clubfoot is a lifelong disability, but it is fully treatable! Awareness and support are vital for clubfoot babies and their families.
Reaching our target will support the treatment of four babies born with clubfoot. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential to prevent disability.
Effective clubfoot treatment gives children the best chance for an active and happy life with full mobility.
Disability is one of the prime causes of poverty, clubfoot treatment helps children escape the cycle of poverty.
Every R2500 raised will be used to support one child having clubfoot treatment at a STEPS Clubfoot Care specialist partner clinic.
