As many of you know, I lost my Mother to cancer last year. She was an amazing inspiration in her fight with the illness, and hence the connection to the charity I have chosen to support.
RAINBOWS AND SMILES Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation (registered NPO). They do incredible work in providing emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer. In addition, RAINBOWS AND SMILES' desire is to promote childhood cancer awareness.

From 15th to 17th May, I will be taking part in the worlds biggest mountain bike stage race, the 2012 Sani2C.
Known for being one of the most gruelling, the race covers 300 km's over 3 days, from Underberg (close to Sani Pass in Drakensberg) to the town of Scottburgh on the KZN coast. Over the 3 days I will climb half the height of Everest!...well that's the plan at least :)
After suffering a blow to my training program in April (ITB tendonitis knee), I have got three good rides in this past weekend and my training is back on track!... to see my recent training go to...http://app.strava.com/athletes/339873
