Walk for Woodrock Animal Rescue - 22 May 2016

A fun walk hosted by the Environment Committee from the Johannesburg Junior Council.

The Enviroment Committee of The Johannesburg Junior Council 2016 would like to welcome you to the Walk for Woodrock, an outdoor dog walk to raise funds for Woodrock Animal Rescue, an incredible organization in need of money to make their dream of an onsite hospital come true. The animals that come into Woodrock have been through the most terrible ordeals imaginable, at times incredibly wounded and sick and often deserted by their owners. Woodrock has strived to make a difference, giving each animal the utmost care, and now it’s our time to make a difference in their lives.

Take some time to stroll through the beauty and nature of Ernest Ullmann Park by either completing the 2km or 4km walk (for those looking for more of a challenge) with your dogs and enjoy great music, great food and great atmosphere all for a great cause.

Picnic baskets and blankets are welcome to accompany your fun in the sun. Enjoy authentic craft cuisine and drinks from home grown vendors, stalls and much much more! Spend time also browsing through our variety of vendors that will be showcasing their products.

Venue: Ullman Park. Edmund Street, Sandton, Gauteng. Entrances: Minto Road, Morningside Manor, and Alma Road, Wendywood, Sandton

WHATS HAPPENING ON THE DAY?

And finally, we will be auctioning off a fantastic raffle on the day (all proceeds will go to Woodrock Animal Rescue). Our raffle will include:

ENTRANCE FEE

R40 per person
R20 per dog
R30 per dog (with socialising pen)

HOW TO PAY:

By booking online here, you would truly be helping the Environment Committee by reducing admin and making the day run smoother. 

  • ONLINE HERE: If you pre-book online here, FREE bandanas will be given to your dogs on the day! Just click on the DONATE button and pay for the tickets you need, ie: R70 must be paid if you would like to pay for one person and one dog with socialising. Extra money can be donated on top of the set ticket price required and would be much appreciated. We will have a list of our guests who have prepaid, and tickets and bandanas will then be provided at the registration desk near the entrance.
  • AT ENTRANCE: Tickets can be bought at the gate.

SPECIAL NOTES:

*Please note ALL dogs must be on leads at all times during the day for safety reasons and in order for our event to run as smooth as possible. A doggie socialising pen will be available for dogs which are comfortable off leads. The pens will be separate for small or big dogs. ONLY SOCIAL DOGS can attend our event and T's and C's apply*

All proceeds will go towards Woodrocks Animal Rescue's dream of a clinic at the shelter. A clinic of their very own where they can medically treat and sterilize rescue animals in their care. A clinic at Woodrock will change the lives of many rescue animals going forward. Thank you for being a part of helping Woodrock's dream come true.
