A few months ago, my world was shaken when my mother received the distressing news that she had a substantial growth on one of her kidneys, a growth that might be cancerous, necessitating the removal of the affected kidney. Complicating matters further, due to her lack of medical aid, the earliest available date for the operation is February 2024.

Currently, my mother relies solely on a social grant, making this campaign all the more crucial for her well-being.
