Hello everyone

Just an update on my appointment with the Neurosurgeon. Good news is that it isn't a growth. However, my C6 has collapsed onto my spinal chord causing the nerve damage on the right hand side of my body. I still need to have surgery to fuse the vertebrae. If we don't fuse the vertebrae it will continue to push on my spinal chord causing paralysis on the right side.

I'm reaching out to share a crucial update regarding my health. I urgently need spinal surgery on my C5 and C6 vertebrae to remove a growth that's putting pressure on my spinal cord, leading to numbness and reduced reflexes on the right side of my body.

Without this surgery, the growth will continue to enlarge, posing a serious risk of irreversible damage by further compressing my spinal cord.

Unfortunately, my current healthcare coverage only extends to a hospital plan, leaving me to bear the costs of essential diagnostics such as the MRI of my spine, as well as expenses associated with consultations with the neurosurgeon and anesthetist. While the neurosurgeon has kindly offered a discount, the anesthetist's fees remain uncovered at medical aid rates.
