Subject: Urgent Appeal for Tumelo Mbatha's Medical Treatment

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of Tumelo Mbatha, a 13-year-old aspiring show jumping rider who tragically lost his father in a motor vehicle accident in December 2021. Since then, I have taken Tumelo under my wing, coaching him in the sport he loves.

Tumelo, with a natural talent and passion for show jumping, dreams of becoming a top-class rider. Unfortunately, he has recently been diagnosed with a condition affecting the growth plates in his knees, causing his left leg to become bowed. Without a corrective operation, this condition not only brings discomfort but also jeopardizes Tumelo's promising riding career.

Medical specialists have recommended an operation involving the insertion of a figure-of-8 plate into his knee to slow the rate of growth and, over time, hopefully straighten the leg. The estimated cost of the operation is approximately R70,000.00, with a follow-up operation required in the coming years.

Tumelo comes from an underprivileged background, and the financial burden for the operation is beyond his family's means. Despite lacking medical aid, Tumelo's determination remains unwavering. I am initiating this campaign to raise funds for his operation and necessary physiotherapy for rehabilitation. A generous sponsor has committed to matching the funds raised through this campaign.
