I am a 44-year-old widow facing the challenges of life with my two children—a 13-year-old daughter currently in grade 5 and an 18-year-old son who is diligently searching for employment. However, as many can attest, finding a job as a school leaver without prior experience is a time-consuming and daunting task.

I currently earn my living by working to pay the rent for our modest living space—a small backyard flat costing R3950 per month. On top of that, we manage our expenses for prepaid water and electricity, totaling around R1000 monthly. Adding to the financial strain is the cost of transportation to and from work, leaving me with a shortfall, given that my monthly income is only R5000.

Our lives took a challenging turn two years ago when my husband passed away, and we lost everything. At present, we possess only a double bed and a limited amount of clothing. I am reaching out to you in the hope that someone out there could extend a helping hand.

If you can spare a donation of household items, clothing, or even a modest amount like 10 rand, it would make a world of difference to us.I am more than willing to provide proof that any contributions will be utilized responsibly, strictly for essentials like food, and not for non-essentials like cigarettes or alcohol.
